The Empatyczni Association carries out unpaid public benefit activities in the field of:

1) acting on the proper and humane handling of animals and providing them with the necessary living conditions

2) combating animal abuse

3) exercising supervision and control over the observance of regulations and laws in the field of animal and environmental protection, as well as cooperation in this respect with local government and relevant institutions in the field of animal and environmental protection

4) to liaise with the competent institutions with regard to the identification, detection and prosecution of offences relating to animal rights

5) to carry out a wide range of educational and publishing activities on the humane treatment of animals

6) taking an active part in drafting new legislation on the protection of animals, including drawing up opinions

7) cooperation and mutual assistance between members of the association, cooperation with individuals and institutions in taking information and exchanging experience in the field of animal protection and environmental protection

8) to provide advice and organisational and economic assistance as well as training to members and other stakeholders in the field

9) other activities conducive to the development of the statutory objectives of the organisation

10) to carry out activities integrating the members of the association through cultural, recreational and social activities

11) work towards the adoption of abandoned animals

12) assisting in the running of an animal shelter or temporary animal detention centre

13) to co-operate with residents, volunteers, municipalities and cities in the field of care and adoption of homeless, lost and abandoned animals. The association, guided by the welfare of animals in cases of conflict not regulated by law, follows the ordinances, guidelines and regulations of shelters for homeless animals.
